Belgian statute of limitations

As of 29 December 2008, the assessment and investigation period has for Belgian income tax purposes been extended from 5 years to 7 years.  The rules for VAT have been amended as well.  In July 2009 the tax authorities provided their comments on these legislative changes. Attached Tax Alert highlights the changes and the authorities’ input. .
